Introduction to Affiliate Membership Examination (AME)
Your participation in the Preparation Cycle Program provides you with an opportunity to appreciate the offered system of Aikido Practice provided by Suomin Aikido Academy. Passing your Affiliate Member Qualification Exam is an indication and also recognition of your first progress in Aikido with the SAA.
29 types of solo movements
Demonstrate how you are prepared for safe Aikido practice. Show how you have made your body instrumental, how you apply your body structure in your actions.
27 types of pair movements
Demonstrate your understanding of the core basics mechanics in the interaction with Uke. Show how you understand positioning and can synchronize your movements with your training partner’s actions.
35 techniques including their variations
In standing position, demonstrate the skills in your realization of the Aikido techniques and their variations.
Show how you have learned to react on the offensive actions.
10 techniques including their variations
In sitting position, demonstrate the skills in your realization of the Aikido techniques and their variations.
Show how you have learned to react on the offensive actions.
29 counter actions
Demonstrate how you have examined the causation of struggle. Show how you have identified your natural intentions in your actions to make your Aikido a self-purification practice.
20 techniques
Demonstrate your skills to neutralize basic forms of physical aggression with the help of Aikido techniques.
- SAA Membership. In case you pass the exam, you will become the official SAA Member, which will be supported by the personalized digital certificate available at your SAA account and the records at our register. You can decorate your training Gi with the SAA signs, which will be also digitally available at your SAA account.
- Extensive Feedback on Performance. Regardless of the exam results, you will receive a detailed report on your test performance. With our testing tools you can be sure in objectivity of the evaluation process: besides the provided notes, every identified mistake will be accompanied by a link to the corresponding video instructional materials of the Preparation Cycle Program for you to make corrections and improvements in the future.
- Lifetime Status. Only single time exam fee is applied. If passing the exam, you will not need to pay any further membership fees to support your SAA Membership Status. You can always associate your comprehension of Aikido Practice and your basic Aikido skills with Suomin Aikido Academy.
- Access to the Further Educational Programs. Only the Affiliate Members have access to the further educational materials of the SAA Progress Cycles.
- SAA Seminars. Only the Affiliate Members can claim to organize the SAA seminars led by Edward Suomin. You can address directly to the Sensei to organize a seminar at your own community for the Preparation or Progress Cycles training sessions, lectures and live examinations.
